July/August 2016

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:  because he trusteth in thee.  Trust ye in the LORD for ever:  for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:"

Isaiah 26: 3 & 4

As many of you know, Kelly and Benjamin are back in the USA.  For weeks Benjamin had not been feeling well, and his appetite had left him.  He started losing a lot of weight, he went from 163 to 142, and getting weaker, continually with nausea and a headache.  We took him to a doctor here, and they did blood work and an ultrasound.  All the doctor told us was that he had a fatty liver, and we needed to change his diet.  So we did.  But there was no improvement.  So after some time we took him to a different doctor to get a second opinion.  I had told Kelly prior to this second doctor, that if he said the same thing I was sending them back to the USA.  Well, he said the same thing, fatty liver, and gave us another lecture on what he should be eating.  So we got them tickets as soon as we could and back to the USA.  There they have been to our pediatrician and up to the moment I write this, we still do not know what is going on.  We do know that according to the pediatrician a fatty liver would not cause what is happening.  Today he goes to a pediatric GI doctor, and on the 30th, he is scheduled to see a pediatric infectious disease doctor.  For all of you who have been praying for us, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  It has been some very trying months.  We do thank our sending church for taking care of their travel expenses.  And also for the many calls and emails received with words of encouragemnnt, even from people we have never met serving in different countries.  We will keep you posted as things develop.

Church Plant

Due to the circumstances mentioned above, we have  not proceeded with the start of the new church plant.  This was discussed with our pastor and mission board.  We decided to wait to see what is going to develop with Benjmain.  But during this time we have continued doing other things in preparation for that.  I have started running after the documentation of the property and building and unfortunately have hit some major obstacles.  We are praying for wisdom in what to do at this point.  Please pray with us about this.

While on furlough we mentioned that once here we would be helping my brother in the camp ministry while church planting.  For personal and family reasons, we have stepped out of the camp ministry.  We will stay here taking care of camp till the end of this year and then we will be able to dedicate 100% to church planting.  Please pray for the camp ministry, that God would send someone to help that would be dedicated to this type of ministry.

The verses above are some that an individual shared with us as we are facing these challenges.  It is encouraging to know the peace and strentth that we have in HIM.

Thank you once agin for your faith service to HIM in praying and giving to help in the work God has placed us in.

In Him,

The Doolittles
