Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name

under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Acts 4:12

On July 2nd, Milaine gave birth to a baby girl, Isabella.  This couple, Edemar and Milaine, was the first couple that got saved under the ministry here.  Then on July 7th, Maria Julia, their oldest daughter who is 8 years old, got saved.  It was interesting how all that came to happen, because after the evening service Edemar took me to the side and asked me how he could lead his daughter to the Lord.  He was concerned that she had not accepted Christ as her Savior.  I gave him the scripture references and explained to him what he should do.  Then as we walked out to the side of the church, Kelly called me back in the church and beside her was Maria Julia.  Maria Julia said she wanted to get saved.  I looked at Edemar to see if he wanted to walk her through the plan of salvation, but he opted for me to do it.  Kelly and I sat down with her, and she accepted Christ as Savior.  It is such a blessing to see what God has done and is doing in their lives, and how much He has changed their lives.

We have stayed busy with the church activities always trying to incorporate the people more and more.  We have had several visitors that have come, which has been a blessing.  We have constantly been witnessing to people and showing them that salvation is only through Jesus Christ. Sadly, they are held captive and blinded by Satan.  So many prefer to hang on to a false hope because of tradition than believe the Bible.  Please pray for the convicting power of the Holy Spirit to break down the enemy’s walls so they can be saved.

August 11th was Father’s Day here in Brazil.  We had 9 fathers present and the Gospel was proclaimed.  The children of the church did a small program honoring their fathers as well.

We have also started back with the seminary.  We have two men in the church that will be studying, Edemar and Dailson.  Pray for them and for me as we study God’s Word.  We are also starting back with the free English classes.  Kelly and Benjamin will be doing this while I will be doing the seminary.  The purpose for the English classes is to reach others with the Gospel.  The first time we did this we had people saved and some are now members of the church.

I have a personal prayer request.  I have had problems with kidney stones for years, and recently they have bothered me again.   I have already passed one a couple of weeks ago, but the one I have now is larger.  Pray please that the Lord would allow me to pass this stone.  Thankfully, the pain, for the most part, I have been able to manage.

Praises: 1. Salvation of Maria Julia and birth of Isabella. 2. Visitors that have been coming. 3.  Starting back the seminary and English classes.

Prayer requests:  1. Salvation of souls. 2. That God would use the English classes for the salvation of souls and the seminary for the training of them. 3.  Wisdom, strength and health.

We are looking for God to do even greater things in and through the ministry here in Guarantã do Norte.  Thank you so much for being a part of the work through your praying and giving.
