Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

“Neither is there salvation in any other:

for there is none other name under heaven given among men,

whereby we must be saved.”  Acts 4:12

Well here we are back in the USA.  We arrived in Ft Lauderdale on April 4th.  We had a few issues once we arrived, such as my bag did not come and were rear ended in the rental car we were driving, but all is well.  We were able to get my bag in Knoxville, Tennessee, and thankfully very little damage was done to the rental car.  On our way from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Newport, Tennessee, we took a little detour to visit with Philip and Hannah at Pensacola Christian College. It was good to have the family all together again.

Since we have been back, we have been busy with preparing the things Joshua needs as he will stay to start college and for Philip’s graduation that is on May 10th.  We have had a lot of stuff to get ready in such a short time, and thankfully we have almost everything done.

We have been on the road visiting churches and catching up with family.  God has blessed us with a van through a dear friend, and what a blessing it has been.  The churches we have visited have been a great encouragement to us, and it is great to see God working in these churches.  We have a pretty full schedule already for the time frame that we are here, and we are grateful for that.

I was also able to take care of a medical issue that has bothered me for the past 4 years.  I thought it was a torn rotator cuff, but after seeing the doctor, and having some x-rays done, the rotator cuff is fine.  It is a hereditary issue and the doctor gave me a shot and ordered some therapy. Praise the Lord!!

God has also provided a beautiful home to stay in while we are here.  We are staying at a mission’s home provided by English Creek Baptist Church in Newport, Tennessee.  While here in Newport, we are helping with some remodeling of a Pro-Life office.

Church News

The first Wednesday of March we were finally able to be moved into our church building and finally out of paying rent.  That following weekend we had our church’s first faith promise mission’s conference.  We saw an increase in giving toward missions.  The last Sunday night before we left for the states, we had our highest number in church services, 42.  To God be the glory!

Since we have been here in the states, we continue to hear great reports of the work in Guarantã do Norte.  Alex and his family are doing a wonderful job and the people have been working well with them.  There have been new visitors which always is encouraging.  Please continue to pray for this church plant and the people.  Also pray for Alex and his family.  As soon as we return in June, they will pack up and move to start their first church plant in Nova Mutum.

Praises: 1. God´s faithfulness. 2. Safety on our trip here and continued safety as we travel. 3. Great meetings and meeting new people.  4. We are now in our own church building.

Prayer requests:  1. Continued safety as we travel. 2. God would use us in challenging others. 3. Philip’s graduation and his future plans  4. Joshua starting college.

Thank you for faithfully praying for us and giving towards the work in Brazil.  We could not do what we do without your giving and prayers.
