May/June 2015

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As I look at Nehemiah 6:4, “...I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down:…” I am reminded that the work we do is of and for the Lord.  And it does not matter what the enemy does or throws at us, we have got to stay firmly planted in the “great work”, and it is great, that He has given us the privilege to do the work.

God has been so good to us as we have traveled visiting churches and spent time with the families of these churches.  Once again, I cannot express my gratitude to the supporting churches and new churches for their kindness towards us.  You have truly been a blessing to us.

It really does not seem that we are almost half way through this furlough, but we are.  We have already started looking at purchasing the tickets for our return to Brazil.  We have a bit of mixed emotions since we will be leaving one behind at college; but God will take care of all of that as well.

These past weeks we have been able to help out/participate in two different VBS programs locally.  It was wonderful to see God working the hearts of these children and see some give their hearts and lives to Jesus Christ.

Please continue to pray for our furlough time.  We have a pretty full schedule until we go back.  We still have a few dates open that we are trying to fill in.  God has been so good.

     Court Case

As mentioned in the last letter, Kelly and I returned to Brazil for the court hearing.  The hearing went very well.  At this time we are still waiting for the judge to make a ruling.  His time frame has come and gone, but he is the judge and apparently can make his own rules.  As soon as we know something we will let you know.  In the mean time please continue to pray.

     Home Church

On May 20th, our pastor, Bro. Dennis Eggert, went home to be with the Lord.  He served the Lord faithfully till the end.  Please pray for his wife, sister Pamela, and the church family.  Pray also for the decisions that they have before them.

     House Building

As we have traveled and visited the churches, there have been some that have been interested in coming down to help build the house that I will need to build.  If you are one of those interested in helping with the work, please send me an email or call me so I can set up a separate contact sheet to be able to better communicate the details with you and to be able to help with any necessary paperwork, such as visas and passports, that might be necessary.  My email addresses are on the left side the stationary, along with my Vonage phone number.  You may also reach me at 423-667-3941  We are looking at the end of February to first part of March as possible dates for those interested in coming.

May God richly bless you for your prayers and giving on our behalf.
