Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
“Neither is there salvation in any other:
for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
As we approach Christmas and the end of another year, we stand amazed at what God has done here in Guarantã do Norte. Knowing that none of it would be possible if it had not been for the ultimate GIFT, His Son sent to redeem the lost.
We continue to push forward with the church construction. Since we are in rainy season now, the rains have slowed the construction down a bit, but we continue to work trying to attain the goals set. We have been able to get the concrete floor work done and now will start going up with the walls for the bathrooms and a storage area. We have already removed all the interior walls from the wooden building and will do some patch up work on the outer part to make it more secure so we can move into it. The people of the church are very excited about all that is going on, seeing that this is something that God has given to us to be stewards of.
Last month we had another couple (João Paulo and Suellen) from the church get married officially. What a big blessing! We have also had two more join the church. God continues to work, and it is exciting to see the way He does things. We have been seeing a lot of growth in the believers which has been a blessing as well. Now we have more that are being trained to help out with teaching and working with the children. We have also selected our theme for 2019. It is “Um a Um” (“One by One”) taken from John 4:35. Our goal is challenging each believer the privilege of bringing one person to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We covet your prayers in this, for we want the people here to have a real and genuine passion for the lost. We know that the enemy will not stand idle, but greater is HE that is in us than he that is in the world!!
We are all doing well. Philip has one more semester to graduate with a degree in accounting. He is seeking the Lord’s direction in his life for this next phase. Hannah has a year and one semester to graduate with a degree in nursing. Philip and Hannah will have a busy Christmas break as they will be traveling to visit family members and friends in four different cities in two and a half weeks. They then will return back to PCC to work part of their Christmas break on campus. Please pray for their safety.
Joshua is on his final stretch as a senior and will be headed to PCC next year. Benjamin is in the 10th grade and will still be with us for a little while. Both Joshua and Benjamin are a tremendous blessing in the ministry with teaching, doing devotionals, playing instruments, cleaning the church, just to mention some of what they do.
Praises: 1. God’s Faithfulness. 2. Growth of the believers.
Prayer requests: 1. Salvation of souls. 2. Men to serve.
We would like to wish you all a very merry Christ Centered Chrismas
and a New Year full of the greatest blessings from our Lord! A special thank you to each church or individual that has sent a card or given a special offering for Christmas. We appreciate you thinking of our family.
