Thank you for praying for our Vacation Bible School. We had a great time and averaged around 30 children each day. Our theme was Route 16.4, the Right Route, which worked off of John 16.4. Even though we did not have any professions of faith, it was great to see the church work together to make it happen. It was the first time that we were able to have a VBS here in Guarantã do Norte, and the first time that anyone from the church had participated in one. We had the Bible story, missionary story, songs, games, crafts, and snacks. It was a lot of fun for the children and the adults.
August the 14th is Father’s Day here in Brazil, and Adam was at church that Sunday night. On the following Tuesday he had a stroke, then on the following Sunday morning I preached his funeral. He would faithfully ride the church van every Sunday night. He accepted Christ as his Savior a few years back. During the funeral service we had a great opportunity to share Christ with his family and friends.
We have a few more praises. We had a church send us $7,500 dollars towards our building project. So now we are only lacking $7,500. We have been buying material and hope to be able to start the work toward the end of next month. It has been good to see the church here actively giving as well toward this project.
We have also been blessed to see two young boys form different families of the church get saved. A few weeks ago, Davi (7) came up to me after service and said he wanted to get saved. I walked him through the plan of salvation, and he prayed asking God to save him. Last night Igor (8) raised his hand during the invitation, and I had the privilege to hear him read the Scriptures and pray asking God to save him. We have been praying for these and others as well. It is wonderful to see them understand and act upon that. Pray for their growth in the Lord.
Parabens pelo trabalho missionário.
Que os frutos dessa obra durem para a vida eterna.
Tenha certeza que toda semente plantada não será em vão.
